Wavepoint® Studios is a company started by Rod Maupin, who has been a software developer for over 26 years and currently works in the Puget Sound area as a contract software developer.   Throughout his career, Rod has worked with several different operating systems and programming languages including Basic, Visual Basic, Visual Basic.NET, Pascal, Assembly, PL-1, C, Visual C++, and Visual C#.

For the last 17 years, he has developed applications and installations for the Microsoft Windows platform.  He has written hundreds of Windows installation programs using many different InstallShield products.

The InstallShield training courses grew out of a lack of affordable and convenient InstallShield training for the average person.   Our courses obliterate the learning curve normally associated with Windows Installation development.  

Do you have Guarantee?

I guarantee that the Course DVD and USB Stick are free from defects.  If you have a problem with either, just email or call, and I'll replace the defective items.  I also guarantee that after you have completed one of my courses, you will be able to create the type of installations that were covered in the course.

How can I pay for my order?

You can pay with a Credit Card, Debit Card (in some countries), with your PayPal account, or with Western Union.  Please note that we use PayPal to process credit card payments. So, when you click the Place Order button, you will be taken to the PayPal website.  While at the PayPal website, you can pay with PayPal, or you can pay with your credit card without having to create a PayPal account.

In some countries, you can pay with a Debit Card when you are taken to the PayPal website.   However, I can't give you a list of countries where you can use a debit card.  You will only find out once you checkout and arrive at the PayPal website.

Can I use PayPal to pay for my order?

Yes, you can use your PayPal account to pay for your order.  When you click the Place Order button, you will be taken to the PayPal website where you can pay using your PayPal account.

I don't have a PayPal account and don't want one. Can I still order from you?

Yes, you can.  When you click the Place Order button, you will be taken to the PayPal website.  Once there, you can pay with your credit card without having to create a PayPal account.

Can I use Western Union to pay for my order?

Yes, you can use Western Union to pay for your order.  Here are the instructions:
  1. Create an account on our website.
  2. Add the desired InstallShield Training course to your Shopping Cart.
  3. Click the Checkout button and you will be taken to the Checkout page.
  4. Select Western Union as the payment type.
  5. Select the type of shipping you want.
  6. Click the Print Western Union Order button.
  7. Take your printout to the nearest Western Union location and follow the instructions on the page.
When will my order be shipped?

If you place your order on Monday through Friday before 1:00PM PST (Pacific Standard Time), it will be mailed out the same day.  On international orders, if you pay for Global Express Guaranteed shipping, I will do everything possible to get it out the same day you placed the order, even if it's after 1:00PM PST (because, I know you want it or you wouldn't have chosen that shipping type).

Do you offer free shipping?

We offer free First Class shipping for domestic, and free First Class Airmail shipping for international when you order one of the full-size courses.  Because of the low cost of the "Get Up and Running" courses, we can not offer free shipping.

I live outside the U.S., what shipping should I choose?

That depends on how fast you want your order and how much you are willing to pay.  As listed above, we offer free First Class Airmail shipping on international orders when you order one of the full-sized courses (more specifically, we can't pay shipping on the Get Up and Running courses).

The most expensive type of shipping is Global Express Guaranteed.  When you use Global Express Guaranteed, your order is delivered by FedEx in 1 to 3 business days.  However, in some cases I have seen it take 4 business days.

If you live in India or China, we recommend you use Global Express Guaranteed.  In these countries, we have found that this is the most reliable form of shipping.  In the past, when we have sent orders to India and China using less expensive forms of shipping, we have found that the delivery times vary greatly.  In one extreme case, an order took almost four weeks to get there.  This may be due to the Customs bureaus in these countries.   We do not know.

I have noticed that Global Express Guaranteed to India usually takes 4 business days.  For Canada, it's supposed to take 1 business day, but it usually takes two.
